Scotch Tasting on July 9, 2011

Northside Edmonton

As part of my stag, Andrew came to my best man’s place after we’d returned from dinner. Andrew got me kitted up in a kilt and then took us through these delicious whiskies.

  • Tullibardine 1993 Vintage
  • Stronachie 18 Year
  • Highland Park 17 Year
  • Bruichladdich 18 Year
  • Glen Elgin 16 Year
  • Glendronach 18 Year

Lamentably, I don’t remember much of what they all tasted like. I was okay before the tasting began and I can recollect impressions of each, but the heavy pours by Andrew and the drinking that followed stopped my brain from retaining these specific memories. Fortunately, I got to keep what was left in all the bottles so I could re-discover the scotches at my leisure. Except for the Highland Park 17. My brother, the fiend, became particularly enamoured with this scotch and attempted to drink what was left in the bottle that night. Fortunately, there’s still time and scotch in the world to revisit these in the future. Provided I’m able to remember, I’ll also post about them.
