Being open and willing to change your mind or actions in the face of new information or shifting circumstances is a sign of being truly adaptable. Easy to say, a lot harder to do – especially consistently – across all aspects of work and life.
Conviction in the face of challenge is one thing; it will propel you to push harder and achieve more. However, willfully ignoring the obvious is quite another. It may feel like a winning strategy to carry-on in the short term, but it’s better to understand and accept what’s changed so you can chart the best path over the long-term.
