The temptation can be high to stay connected when you’re taking time off, especially when you’re committed to delivering great results. But who benefits when you don’t disconnect from work?
Certainly not you, particularly if you’re feeling burned out. And definitely not your team – you rob others of the opportunity to step up and you also send the message (unintentional as it may be) that you don’t trust them.
One of the greatest advantages of being part of a team is that you’re in it together. Everyone supports one another through time away. Remember that when you disconnect – it’s not only to your benefit but to the benefit of the team too.
