International Women’s Day 2024

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is Invest In Women. I’m incredibly fortunate to not just know but to learn from the incredible women in my life.

Things you can do right now that cost little but deliver big returns:
✅ Mentor women to support their success
✅ Sponsor women for opportunities and roles
✅ Include women at tables and in conversations where their voice is missing
✅ Speak up when you see or hear something that isn’t right
✅ Ensure your hiring practices encourage women to apply (and then speak with them!)
✅ Ensure your time off policies don’t disadvantage women who have caregiver responsibilities

And if you’re truly serious about investing in women:
???? Equal pay for equal work – full stop
???? Promote and hire women at all leadership levels, especially executive and board levels
???? Pay for maternity leave (partial or full if you can)
???? Pay for childcare (a partial subsidy is better than nothing)
